Trust. Transparency. Responsibility.
Boulderwelt GmbH is committed to fair, respectful, and legally compliant interactions—with our employees, guests, partners, and society at large. To uphold this commitment, we have established a whistleblower system through which potential violations can be reported securely and confidentially.
Why a whistleblower system?
Despite clear rules and values, misconduct can occur in any company. A functioning whistleblower system helps identify risks early on, prevent damage, and thoroughly investigate misconduct.
By submitting a report, you make an important contribution to the integrity and further development of Boulderwelt.
What can be reported?
Through our portal, you can report information regarding potential violations, such as:
- Violations of laws or regulations
- Corruption, fraud, or theft
- Discrimination, harassment, or bullying
- Violations of internal guidelines or codes of conduct
- Safety or environmental violations
Even if you’re unsure, the rule is: It’s better to report once too often than once too little.
Legal Framework
Our whistleblower system complies with the provisions of the Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG), which transposes the EU Whistleblower Directive into German law.
Pursuant to Section 12 of the HinSchG, companies are required to establish internal reporting channels through which whistleblowers can report information regarding certain legal violations. Boulderwelt GmbH fulfills this obligation with the present whistleblower system.
The substantive scope of the law is specifically regulated in Section 2 of the HinSchG. Accordingly, reports may concern, among other things, the following areas: - Violations of criminal laws
- Violations subject to administrative fines, insofar as they serve to protect life, limb, health, or the rights of employees
- Violations of selected provisions of EU law (e.g., in the areas of data protection, product safety, environmental protection, and consumer protection)
In particular, the law ensures:
- Protection against retaliation (Sections 35 et seq. HinSchG): Whistleblowers may not be disadvantaged as a result of their report
- Confidentiality (Section 8 HinSchG): The identity of whistleblowers is protected by law
- Procedural requirements (Sections 17 et seq. HinSchG): Reports received are processed in a structured manner and within the prescribed time limits
What is not covered by the whistleblower system?
The whistleblower system is not a general complaint or customer service tool. Please use the designated communication channels for these purposes.
In particular, the following matters are not intended for the whistleblower portal: - General customer inquiries or complaints regarding our offerings
- Appointment bookings, contract questions, or membership issues
- Personal conflicts unrelated to a violation of the law
- Obviously unfounded or intentionally false reports
- Disputes between customers that have no connection whatsoever to Boulderwelt and its employees
Please note: Intentionally reporting false information may result in legal consequences.
Secure and Confidential
Your protection is our top priority. Therefore:
You may submit your report anonymously.
All reports are treated with strict confidentiality.
You will not face any adverse consequences for submitting a report in good faith.
Reports are handled by specially trained, independent departments.
How our whistleblower system protects you:
- No identifying information is shared with the contact persons.
- Your report is edited to make it even more anonymous. This means we remove duplicate punctuation marks and lowercase all words.
- All information is end-to-end encrypted, ensuring your sensitive information remains secure.
How to protect yourself:
- You are not on the company network (Internet / VPN).
- You are not using a device (smartphone, computer, etc.) provided by your employer.
- You do not use phrases or abbreviations that you frequently use in conversations or emails.
How to submit a report
1. Open our whistleblower portal
2. Describe the incident as specifically as possible
3. Upload supporting documents if necessary
4. Submit your report
After submission, you will receive an access code—even if you submitted anonymously—which you can use to track the status of your report or add further information.
